Bon Voyage with Kerry Green

At our July meeting we had a workshop on precision piecing from Guild member Kerry ( Verykerryberry ).

Kerry showed us how to make the smallest case from her gorgeous pattern Bon Voyage, which features a stack of vintage suitcases.

She gave us masses of tips on how to get those tiny pieces looking good, including how to use a Tailors Awl – it stops you stitching your fingers by mistake!

The workshop was beautifully timed, which meant most of us completed the vanity case on the day.

Penny even had time to make her block into a travel pouch.

We were all given the pattern so we could complete the mini quilt at home.

Hannah finished hers, using a directional fabric as the background – just to make it a bit more difficult!

And Denise used some precious Liberty and vintage Laura Ashley fabrics.

It was a great day – thank you Kerry!
